The Prosser
Captain Joe Prosser Award for Excellence in Sailing
The Captain Joe Prosser Award was awarded this year at US Sailing's National Sailing Programs Symposium in cooperation with the United States Merchant Marine Academy's Sail Training Program (Kings Point, NY). This prestigious award was created to recognize the life achievement of the Merchant Marine Academy's first sailing master, Captain C.A. "Joe" Prosser, USMS.

Nominees for the award should be members of US Sailing, and may be professionals in the field of sailing instruction. Organizations may be either "for-profit" or "not-for-profit"; and may be engaged in sailing instruction on a part-time or full-time basis.
